This poem of Allama Iqbal symbolically represents the GREAT history of Muslims and the muslims of today. He is saying to the Muslims that they should think about their ancestor...Who they Were! Who They are! They have lost the values their  ancestors had. They were like the sky. And Their ancestors were those who also defeated the great king DAARA of Iran.But now they have lost that skills to rule the world.
